The Occupy 8 just became the Occupy 10 but I'm not changing the url. So the short url for this page is still http://bit.ly/occupy8

The California state assembly has said yes to bill SB48, writes the Associated Press. Lawmakers in Sacramento voted 49-25 in favor of the bill which may make California public schools the first in the nation to weave lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender accomplishments into social studies curriculum. It is unclear right now whether Gov. Jerry Brown will sign off on SB48, or whether he is going to say no to the bill as former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger did with a comparable bill in 2006. I read this here: California gay history bill passes state assembly

To Tom C. and the Community At Large:

As many are aware, a recent message posted by myself has rightly angered the community. Tom C. has been gracious enough to allow me to express my sincerest regret and apologize for the statement in question.

I believe my statement, found on a Christian website I often visit, was taken out of context. Although I have explained the context of the message, which at the time seemed innocuous, my poor choice of wording may have been my “mort par mots”. I and the Christian Post (which I do not represent) have never and will never advocate violence toward anyone or any group.

I have been contacted by a number of people in the community over the past few days that have expressed anger at this statement. To those individuals, and to the community as a whole, I take full responsibility for what has happened and express my sincerest apologies.

Respectfully,
B. Wilcutt 03/2011

Was simply AMAZING Tom! and emotional. The thought of youth reflecting on there situation on a personal level and still being able to interject their needs while still giving advice to their fellow brothers and sisters nearly brought us to tears. This will be a special show and hope this will set the bar of whats to come.

Hopefully people will start to do the same thing in their areas and see what Pride to means to them yearly, daily and beyond? and what advice would they give their fellow brothers and sisters from their personal experiences. Thank you again Tom for making this possible and sharing this gift with us.
