QPR is often contacted by individuals wishing to be guests on the station. Most of these guests fall into one of three categories.
Personal experience – a person who has personal experience with a topic being discussed on a show.
‘Activist Flavor‘ – such as authors telling a story which can benefit others within our community. Or perhaps some LGBTQIA community event which provides some type of giving aspect (free admission, gifts, etc). Something with a ‘activist flavor’ to it (ie: for the betterment of our community).
Commercial Promotion – if a person doesn’t fall into one of the previous two categories they would fall into this one. These individuals are usually promoting a product to the LGBTQIA community.
Since the first two categories are of a giving nature there is no charge. However, the third category is a commercial promotion and charges would apply.
QPR offers two basic plans for ‘Commercial Promotion’ guests.
$50 for a one hour segment on one of our existing two hour shows. The second hour of the show will contain content selected by QPR.
$100 for a two hour segment on one of our existing two hour shows. This would be considered a Featured Guest spot since the entire show would be devoted to the guest and their product.
Please note, QPR currently has two live shows each week. Those live shows are recorded and rebroadcast multiple times in the two weeks following the live show. You can view the broadcast schedule by clicking here. Existing shows are recommended for this reason. Existing shows are hosted by Tom from QPR.
All QPR live shows are recorded and available as On-Demand Podcasts. On-Demand podcasts are free to all for the first 30 days following the original airing. Afterwards, the On-Demand podcasts are only available to QPR contributing members.
As a side note, if you purchase the $100 package and don’t wish to be on an existing show with Tom we can schedule a special broadcast time/date for you and your content. Please note, such a show would not be scheduled for rebroadcast on the station but it would be available as a On Demand podcast.
